I specialize in studying user needs in order to create texts that provide more accessible, equitable, and empathetic user experiences.

I have 10 years of experience researching, teaching, and writing about writing, and I’m passionate about understanding how users behave, what their needs and wants are, and how we can write to help bridge the gaps between users and creators.

My research has focused on the ways we write and communicate (especially with and through digital technologies), on teaching practices in higher education, and on designing equitable and accessible teaching materials.
